The Technology Pioneers 2009 included two Indian IT firms, Nivio and ngpay.
Nivio is the first hosted Windows desktop. This technology provides a new way to access modern
computing and extends the life of equipment for people who already own computers.
Ngpay, now branded India’s largest “mall on the mobile”, has more than 250,000 users, who are
transacting with more than 65 businesses across 10 sectors, for banking, shopping, entertainment and bill payment.
